TranspoQuip Latin America 2011 exceeds expectations
Event breaks visitors records and generates more than R$ 40 million in business
The fourth edition of TranspoQuip Latin America ended Thursday November 24, with a record number of visitors. Approx. 8,300 people attended the three-day event, the largest in transportation infrastructure in Latin America, which took place at the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, Brazil. This number represents a 25% increase in visitors compared to last year. For 2012, the expectation is another 25% increase in the number of visitors and exhibitors, as Brazil being the focus for large international companies and upcoming international events. TranspoQuip Latin America has had a yearly average growth rate of 20%.
Estimates indicate that the event generated at least R$40 million in business. Many contacts were made and many more negotiations will be concluded in the following months. The event brought together public and private sector buyers with the main industry suppliers of products and services. According to Sebas Van Den Ende, director of Real Alliance, organizer of the event, "With a 25% increase in the number of exhibitors, the amount of business opportunities has increased significantly and will grow even further next year."
One of the highlights of this edition of TranspoQuip was Expo Parking, an exposition and conference focusing exclusively on parking infrastructure. "With a sold out conference and 90% of exhibitors stating they intend to participate again, we can say that the event was a great success," according to Van Den Ende. Franck Bourdy, Business Development Manager of Parkeon explained, "Expo Parking 2011 has been the opportunity to present some of our most advanced parking solutions to our local customers and partners but also to new contacts from various Latin American countries. The feed-back has been extremely positive. It confirmed that many Brazilian cities are considering the fast growing number of cars as one of their top issues nowadays and are looking for partners with international experience and strong references to help them in this area.”
This year 250 exhibitors participated in TranspoQuip; 30% of exhibitors were foreign companies, based in countries such as Germany, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, China, Croatia, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, South-Korea and Taiwan. Bringing together the Brazilian market and foreign companies not only generates excellent business opportunities, but also promotes the exchange of technical knowledge about the sectors in which they operate. "We are very proud of this year's results. The exhibitors are also very satisfied, many of them have already confirmed their participation for TranspoQuip 2012," stated Van Den Ende. The fifth edition of TranspoQuip Latin America will take place on November 21-23, 2012, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.
Today, TranspoQuip Latin América is the main transportation infrastructure event that brings together manufacturers and buyers of equipment and services for highways, railways, stations, ports, waterways and airports in Latin America. Alongside TranspoQuip Latin America and Expo Parking, Real Alliance also organized the events of Expo Estádio and Expo Urbano.
